Review:

The heroine of the story is Annabelle who’s been haunted by demons since the unlikely death of her parents where she was accused of doing. She spent 4 years in an institution of the criminally insane not until Zacharel found her.

Zacharel is the fierce leader of an army of angels who fight demons. He’s been through a lot including the death of his twin brother. Throughout his existence, he learned to become heartless and cruel by not caring about others including human life. But his beliefs change because of Annabelle.

I really felt sorry for Annabelle. She had a hard time growing up. Losing her parents because of unknown creatures and the blame pointed on her is a big slap in the face. That’s so unfair.

Zacharel and Anna being together made them better. They both healed the scars from their past and they were able to change for the better.

What I like about the book is that it has a unique concept. I noticed that the plot was thought through. All of the problems or issues of the book had their closure, in Zach and Anna’s point as far as I’m concerned. Although the steamy scenes where unnecessary because I can’t imagine an angel with wings making out with a human. Anyway, that will do. It’s still good.

The supporting characters are also good. There are not a lot of characters so it’s not hard to remember them at all. And I shouldn’t fail to mention the nice twist the book has.

All in all, I loved it! Loved the cover! It’s another angel series which I enjoyed but more of an Adult Paranormal genre.

This is the first book I’ve read of Gena Showalter and I will definitely read some more!

Review:

I've seen the latest book of the series, Iced, and most of the bloggers out there have talked about it constantly. But my curiosity didn't get the best of me so I just passed the opportunity to check out the series. When I was looking for some  highly recommended books, Darkfever came out. I read the blurb and I became so intrigued I read it right away. 

I'm not really into fae books so this is my first time to read one. I expected that this book will have a lot of terms  should be acquainted with and I was right.

Darkfever is about Mac finding out the reason of her sister's death. So she went to Ireland to unravel the mystery. 

Mac is the stereotype blond with tanned body but with distinct green eyes. I love her real personality. She's very vocal about what she wants and doesn't want. I also love her girly bright personality. It's something that makes the book lighter because the mood of the book is so dark. 

I felt for her throughout the book. If I were in her place, I'll have the same reactions and decisions. When someone you love suddenly dies without any closure, I too, will do something about it. But in her case, there's more to it other than finding her sister's killer. There's another world of creatures she doesn't want to be a part of. But does she have a choice?

I still don't get who Barron is. He's too closed up and arrogant. Like Mac, I don't know if he should be trusted. Although he was better in the last parts of the book where he showed some emotions, still, I need more! Second book please! :)

The storyline is definitely unique and fresh. I love that it caught my attention until the end. I didn't even notice I was about to finish until I was on the last page. I was too thrilled and so into it. Hopefully I will be enlightened more on the world of fae in the next book. 

Highly recommended to those who love Paranormal, Fantasy genre.

Review:

Wow! That was one hell of a cliff-hanger! With some tissues and puffy eyes, I can't tell you how much I want to read the next book now! I want Never Too Far, ASAP!!

I honestly didn't want the arrangement of Blaire and Rush. I even hated it all until I reached the last part of the book. I think that was the saving grace. So just read the last part. Haha! Just kidding. 

Blaire is as innocent as you could imagine. She has a very honest and true personality which I liked. She's tough and she knows how to handle guns, literally. I can't help but feel for her. Her mother died and she's left alone with no money and place to live in. Those people she expects to stay with her, left. I just can't imagine myself being on her shoes. If I were her, I would really lose myself. One thing that I just don't like is how fast she can be so attached to Rush. I know most adult contemporary books is like that but I just want some difference other than what's expected.

On the other hand, there's Rush. He's gorgeous as he can be but very mysterious. I can't understand him throughout the book except that last part. I really didn't get him at all. He's so hard to read that I wished he had his side of story. I want to be in his head and learn more about him.

I was really shocked on how the book ended. I was speechless! I didn't expect any of that from happening. I hate Rush for keeping a secret when it's Blaire's secret too. She has the right to know. They're so hard on Blaire I can't help but cry with her. 

If you want to be annoyed and cry some,try this one! An Adult Contemporary with a lot of secrets you definitely want to know!

Review:

The Secret of Ella and Micha is one of those books which didn't give me a hard time from reading it. I just read through the book without even realizing it's almost over.

I love everything about it! I can't help but fall in love with each character. It was fun, hot, sexy and heart-warming.

Ella went through a lot so she decided to change her image and run away from her past. Even when that means leaving the people she cares about. But when she came back to her hometown after 8 months, she reconnects to her past. Will she be able to put up with the mask she's wearing? Or will she go back to being the girl she left behind?

Ella is someone you'll learn to love. You can really understand where she's coming from as the author unravels her story. Micha is your typical bad boy. I love how he can be so real, loyal and sweet. He's got a bad boy vibe but the truth is, he's genuinely a good guy and son. He's so vulnerable in terms of Ella which makes me love him even more. I love how he can be so patient and caring. Ahh...I'm in love!

I have to commend how the author narrated the lives of Ella and Micha, from the past and present without changing the pace of the story. And how can I forget to mention the cover? Hmmm-mmm! 

The Secret of Ella and Micha is a fast-paced read which made me laugh, sad, cry and overwhelmed with emotions. If you're into Contemporary Romance, you most definitely should read this one!

Review:

Here's the thing. I really liked the first book of the series so I was so excited to read the sequel. And after reading it, I was speechless! Sorry to say, but I'm speechless in a not so good way. I'm one of the few who didn't like this book as much as the first one.

If you have read the first one already, you'll know that both Gideon and Eva have their own dark pasts. So their relationship- physical and emotional- is complicated. I was expecting that for this second book, I will be enlightened more on their past especially Gideon's. To tell you the truth, I expected A LOT from the book and it's my mistake for doing that.

I was totally disappointed. :( 

If it's about the sex and hot scenes, there's definitely a bunch of them. It's an erotica book so that's a given. But I would have appreciated it more if it was focused more on the storyline rather than the sex parts. It was a bit lacking for me. I don't know how to explain but I weren't satisfied with how it was written and on how the story flowed. The push and pull relationship they have is quite tiring. I really want to like the book but there's just too much was going on. 

Maybe the saving grace of the book was the last parts when I finally understood what was happening. Other positive side that I like is that both characters were able to grow a little bit although I won't even notice that, if it wasn't mentioned in the book.

If you ask me if I would read the third book,my answer is YES! I still want to know the real story behind Gideon's personality and I want to believe it'll get better. But this book definitely tuned down my excitement for the next one. 

Recommended? Not really. 

If you read the first book and liked it, maybe you should read this book and see it for yourself.
